Event Overview

The 2025–26 Queensland Speedway Spares Ultimate Sprintcar Championship (USC) launched in style at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway with more than fifty sprintcars on hand across the 410 and 360-LS divisions. Presented by Made Too Go, the season-opening round drew an excellent early-October crowd and began a seven-round championship that will span Queensland and northern New South Wales.

The 410 Sprintcars headlined the program supported by 360-LS Sprintcars, Speedcars, and Compact Speedcars. Friday night featured open practice before a full Saturday card of heats, dashes, and main events.

Winner: Lachlan McHugh (NQ7)
Podium: Nicholas Whell (Q21), Jy Corbet (NQ10)
Top Five: Harry Stewart (Q96), Luke Oldfield (Q17)
Fastest Lap: 11.522 seconds

Lachlan McHugh dominated the USC opener, sweeping the A Dash and 30-lap Feature to capture the first 410 main event of the season. McHugh’s NQ7 set the overall fast lap of the night at 11.522 seconds. Nicholas Whell, who posted Quick Time in qualifying, converted a front-row start into second place, while Jy Corbet continued his strong early-season form in third. Harry Stewart and Luke Oldfield completed the top five. Mechanical issues ended runs for Alex Orr, Brody Appleby, Luke Stirton, and Mick Sauer.


360-LS Sprintcars – Round 1 Feature

Winner: Kye Jensen (Q22)
Podium: Ryley Smith (NQ17), Jacob Jolley (Q82)
Top Five: Libby Ellis (NQ73), Luke Manttan (Q86)
Fastest Lap: 11.806 seconds

In the 360-LS division, Kye Jensen led every lap of the 20-lap Feature, holding off fast-qualifier Ryley Smith while Jacob Jolley claimed third ahead of Ellis and Manttan. The race ran caution-free and showcased the class’s growing depth and pace.
