43rd 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora – Sprint Cars Deliver Drama, History, and Redemption
High Limit Racing – Reutzel’s Comeback, Abreu’s Redemption
Eldora’s 4-Crown weekend brought the drama in Kubota High Limit Racing competition. On Friday, Aaron Reutzel completed a stirring comeback just 63 days after leaving the same track in an ambulance with a foot injury. The Ridge & Sons Racing No. 87 slid past Rico Abreu on the green-white-checkered restart to steal the preliminary win. But on Saturday, Abreu answered back in classic Eldora fashion. The No. 24 stormed from eighth, trading sliders with Reutzel before powering away for his 13th Eldora victory and fifth career 4-Crown win, keeping his championship push intact with seven races remaining.

USAC National Sprint Cars – Danner Breakthrough, Pursley Wire-to-Wire
The USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Cars produced a pair of memorable features at The Big E. Thursday’s opener went to Briggs Danner, who slid Kevin Thomas Jr. late to secure his first-ever Eldora Speedway triumph. On Saturday, it was Daison Pursley who left no doubt, charging from third to the lead on the opening lap and never looking back. Pursley dominated all 30 circuits in the CB Industries No. 86, holding off Kyle Cummins, Thomas Jr., and Brady Bacon to cement his growing legacy at Eldora.

Daison Pursley – Historic 4-Crown Sweep
The story of the weekend belonged to 20-year-old Daison Pursley, who became just the fourth driver in event history to sweep the USAC portion of the 4-Crown Nationals. Following up his 2024 double, Pursley captured all three USAC features — Sprints, Midgets, and Silver Crown — collecting $45,000 in the process. He joins legends Jack Hewitt, Kyle Larson, and Logan Seavey in an exclusive club, while also adding a GLSS 360 Sprint Car victory on Friday for good measure. With five career 4-Crown triumphs already, Pursley has firmly stamped his name among Eldora’s elite.

Gravel Outduels Bayston in Photo Finish for $83K at Tulare
A packed Thunderbowl Raceway was treated to a classic on Saturday night as David Gravel beat Spencer Bayston to the line by only .021 seconds to win the Dennis Roth Classic. The $83,000 payday marked Gravel’s 14th victory of the season and tied him for the all-time World of Outlaws win lead at Tulare with Joey Saldana and Tim Kaeding. Buddy Kofoid kept the Roth Motorsports colors on the podium in third, while Carson Macedo and Donny Schatz rounded out the top five. The event’s scheduled Friday opener was washed out by heavy rain. In support action, George Tristao Jr. claimed the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature.

Timms, Bosma Score Jackson Nationals Titles
The 47th annual Bank Midwest Jackson Nationals presented by Wyffels Hybrids boiled down to a one-night showdown Saturday after rain washed out Friday’s card. Ryan Timms added to his blockbuster season with a dramatic last-lap pass, inheriting the $12,000 410 Sprint Car win after leader Austin McCarl’s tire went flat. Scotty Thiel finished second, McCarl third. In the RaceSaver Sprint Car finale, Brandon Bosma went back-to-back, leading all 25 laps for the $2,500 victory.

ASCS National Tour Doubleheader: Martin Strikes at Paducah, Covington Bags $10K at I-55
The American Sprint Car Series National Tour capped a pivotal Kentucky–Missouri weekend with two different winners and high drama. On Friday at Paducah International Raceway, 2023 champion Jason Martin powered past Matt Covington on Lap 11 and never looked back, scoring his third win of 2025. Covington rebounded Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, sliding past Kyler Johnson with three laps left and surviving a green-white-checkered dash to secure the $10,000 grand prize and his 22nd career ASCS victory. Rising rookie Garrett Benson claimed podiums both nights, while Johnson tied his career-best with a runner-up at Pevely.

Friday’s openers saw Clinton Boyles capture his first-ever POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint victory and Riley Kreisel return to WAR glory. Championship Saturday brought international flavor with Australian Ryan Newton pocketing $10,000 in the 410 finale, while veteran J.J. Skagit Speedway Championship Weekend — Starks Sweeps 410 & 360 Titles, Hendrickson Edges Sportsman by One Point
Trey Starks made history at Skagit Speedway, becoming only the second driver ever (after Randy Ridge in 2000) to win both the 410 and 360 Sprint Car track championships in the same season. Starks clinched the 360 title with a win Friday, then captured the 410 crown Saturday by winning the A-Main and the $11,000 points fund. In Sportsman Sprints, rookie Steven Hendrickson claimed the championship by a single point over Jayden Whitney, despite Jesson Jacobson winning the feature. Kevin Smith returned to Modified victory lane as Jeff Westergard secured his second straight division title.

Forsberg Doubles Down in Adobe Cup at Petaluma
Andy Forsberg delivered again at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds, charging past Justyn Cox in traffic to secure his second straight Adobe Cup victory with the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour. The Auburn veteran wheeled the Pacific Highway Rentals No. 92 to his eighth career SCCT win and third of 2025, holding off Cox and fast qualifier Sean Becker at the line. Point leader Austin Wood finished eighth, maintaining his narrow advantage in the standings. Next up: SCCT heads to Tulare’s Thunderbowl Raceway for the Faria Memorial on October 4.

Goodyer Sweeps Harbour City Thunda, Jolley Redeems in 360s
The Harbour City Thunda delivered two nights of fireworks at McCosker Gladstone Speedway. Jock Goodyer dominated the 410 Sprintcar ranks, sweeping both Friday and Saturday A-Mains — the latter worth $10,000 — over Luke Oldfield and Dylan Menz. In the 360 Sprintcars, Quay Dallison opened with a Friday win, but Jacob Jolley rebounded Saturday, claiming redemption after missing the Night 1 podium. Ryley Smith was runner-up both nights, while Jason Faint and Brian Walsh shared podium honors.
