Thorson Goes Back-to-Back in Pennsylvania with Path Valley Triumph

Spring Run, PA (Sept. 28, 2025) — Two weeks ago it had taken him 84 tries to find Kubota High Limit Racing victory lane. Now Tanner Thorson is making it look routine. The Nevada native scored his second career High Limit winSunday at Path Valley Speedway Park, just 16 days after breaking through at Lernerville.

Starting fifth, Thorson tracked down Giovanni Scelzi and Brad Sweet, taking the lead on Lap 22 and never looking back. The Rod Gross Motorsports No. 88 fended off a furious charge from Brady Bacon, who roared from 10th to 2nd. Scelzi settled for third after leading the first 21 laps, his third consecutive podium.

Rico Abreu and Aaron Reutzel both needed provisionals, while Brad Sweet started on the pole. After 46 of 51 races, Rico Abreu Racing leads Ridge & Son Racing by 34 points and Kasey Kahne Racing by 52 in the owners’ chase. In drivers’ standings, Abreu holds a 52-point edge over Sweet.

The High Rollers now take a weekend off for the National Open before finishing the season at Lakeside Speedway (Oct. 10–11)Lucas Oil Speedway (Oct. 15), and Texas Motor Speedway (Oct. 17–18).

Lincoln Speedway Fallen Heroes Race Halted by Rain
Abbottstown, PA (Sept. 27, 2025) — Persistent showers forced Lincoln Speedway to halt the Fallen Heroes Race after preliminary events on Saturday night. Troy Wagaman Jr. set Quick Time, with heats claimed by Dallas Schott, Kyle Moody, and Billy Dietrich in the 410s, while Cameron Merriman, Logan Spahr, and Cody Fletcher split 358 heats. Ryan Newton took the 410 B-Main before weather shut down the program. Both A-Mains will be made up as part of the Season Finale on October 18.
