Dirt track racing returns to Washington in anger for the first time in 2025 tonight when Deming Speedway open their 47th season.
The 1/6 mile micro mecca located just 20 minutes south of the Canadian border will host it’s four mainstay classes of racing on opening night with action set to kickoff at 7pm. Jr Sprints, 600 Restricted, 1200’s and 600 Open will all take to the dirt looking for first blood on the new year.
Kole Campbell will return to Jr Sprints again in 2025. The young leadfoot will be looking for a return to form that saw the close-knit family team win the track champioship in 2023.
2024 was a huge season for Hudson Johnson, claiming not only the track championship in Jr Sprint division but also the prestigious Clay Cup Nationals title as well. The new season will see Johnson move up into the 600 Restricted class full time, along with a host of other speedy juniors that are ready to make the leap into bigger and faster machinery.
If last weekends "Play Day" was anything to go by, defending 1200 class champion Derek Holmwood will be tough to beat. Holmwood looked formidable at the practice day, slamming the cushion and squeezing every ounce of performance out the #17 Triple X.
Colin Mackey will be seeking some redemption this season after coming so close to an as yet elusive track championship in 600 Open. Clay Cup Nationals will also be firmly in the crosshairs for the Bellingham based family team. This year Mackey will take on full-time duties at Deming in the 600 and Skagit Speedway in a 360 Sprint Car.

FastFour Media will have the PPV broadcast if you cannot make it to the track.
