High Limit Racing have unveiled what the series is calling "a landmark franchise system aimed to elevate the sport of sprint car racing" and "Focused on creating a sustainable business model for its race teams".

Here are the key points from the announcement.

  • The High Limit Racing "Franchise System" will come in to effect beginning in 2026.
  • The franchise system will distribute up to $18 million in total value over the next four years (2026-29)

In 2026 - up to $3,970,000 to teams.
In 2027 - up to $4,322,500 to teams.
In 2028 - up to $4,620,000 to teams.
In 2029 - up to $5,032,500 to teams.

  • Ten teams will enter the system when it begins in 2026. The five highest points finishing teams from the 2024 season will be joined by five more teams from the 2025 season.
  • The 2025 allotment will be awarded based on average points finishes over the 2024-25 seasons combined, only among teams who didn't earn a spot in 2024.
  • Based on 2024 points the first five franchises were earned by Kasey Kahne Racing (No. 49), Clauson-Marshall Racing (No. 7BC), Rico Abreu Racing (No. 24), Roth Motorsports (No. 83), and Murray-Marks Motorsports (No. 19).
  • The seven teams vying for 2025 spots are: Jason Meyers Racing (No. 14), Buch Motorsports (No. 13), CJB Motorsports (No. 5), Ridge & Sons Racing (No. 87), Rod Gross Motorsports (No. 88), Rudeen Racing (No. 26), and Kasey Kahne Racing (No. 9)
  • Going forward, year-by-year franchise rankings will be determined by a rolling two-year average of point finishes.
  • A potential pathway for five additional teams to enter the system over the 2026-27 seasons (creating a 15 team system beginning in 2028) was announced but specific details were not revealed.

More details will be provided as they become available.
