Posse Strike First: Dietz Leads Sweep in Williams Grove National Open Prelim
Mechanicsburg, PA — The Pennsylvania Posse drew first blood on Night 1 of the 63rd J & S Classics National Open, as Chase Dietz stormed from fourth to win his first career World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Seriesfeature Friday at Williams Grove Speedway.
The York, Pennsylvania native charged past defending National Open champion Carson Macedo with three laps to go and held off five-time Open winner Lance Dewease to claim the $12,000 preliminary victory, capping off a Posse podium sweep that electrified the Beer Hill faithful. Danny Dietrich completed the all-Pennsylvania top three, with Macedo and Justin Whittall rounding out the top five.
The win marked Dietz’s fifth career Grove triumph and his first for car owners John & Kelly Stehman, adding his name to the record books as the 155th different winner in World of Outlaws history and the second first-time Series winner of 2025 (joining Ryan Timms).
Race Recap:
Macedo led early before Dietz executed a race-winning slider on lap 22 and drove away to the checkers by 0.798 seconds. “These things are so damn difficult to win — let alone at Williams Grove,” Dietz said on DIRTVision.

Justin Grant Finally Claims the Rifle in 55th Tony Hulman Classic
Terre Haute, IN (Oct. 3, 2025) — After 15 years of trying, Justin Grant finally captured one of USAC’s most iconic prizes Friday night at the 55th Tony Hulman Classic at Terre Haute Action Track. The TOPP Motorsports driver led 27 of 30 laps for his first Hulman win, his 11th of the 2025 USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car season, and his 65th career overall.
Grant started fourth, passed Mitchel Moles on lap four, and never looked back. “I’ve wanted to win the Hulman awfully bad,” Grant said. “This one feels really good tonight.”
The night carried special significance as Pancho Carter, grand marshal and first two-time Hulman Classic winner, personally presented Grant with the ceremonial prize rifle.

Brady Bacon Scores First POWRi 410 Victory at Lee County’s Hawkeye Nationals
Donnellson, IA (Oct. 3, 2025) — Brady Bacon made his first POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint Leaguevictory one to remember, outlasting Aaron Reutzel and Austin McCarl in a thrilling finish on Night 1 of the Hawkeye Nationals at Lee County Speedway.
Thirty-three entries filled the pits for the penultimate weekend of POWRi’s 2025 campaign. Sean Rayhall set quick time at 13.105s, with heats going to Davis, Goodno, J.B. Miller, and Bacon.
Bacon took the lead on lap 10, survived a late yellow, and held off Reutzel by 0.1s for the $5,000 win.
“I didn’t want to see that late yellow,” Bacon said. “We were better through the middle in traffic, but the car was great all night.”

Charlton, QLD — The 2025–26 Queensland Speedway Spares Ultimate Sprintcar Championship launched at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway, where Lachlan McHugh and Kye Jensen claimed Round 1 honors across the 410 and 360-LS divisions.

Hallett Seals Battle of the Bridge Victory at Murray Bridge
Murray Bridge, SA — Brock Hallett powered to victory in Saturday night’s Bill Wigzell Battle of the Bridge at Murray Machining & Sheds Speedway, topping a 17-car field to pocket $5,000.
Hallett led flag-to-flag, setting the fastest lap at 11.926s, with Daniel Pestka and Matt Egel completing the podium. Jock Goodyer and Luke Storer rounded out the top five.
