Anthony Macri won his first Tommy Hinnershitz Classic at Williams Grove on Friday night, pocketing $8,088 for his efforts, then turned around and swept the evening program with victory in the April 4th makeup feature race. Thirty-nine 410 Sprint Cars signed in for Friday night action at Williams Grove.

 

Macri started the night by setting qualifying quicktime at 16.555 seconds around the Mechanicsburg, PA half-mile. Kody Hartlaub, Cale Thomas, Lance Dewease and Troy Wagaman Jr were heat race winners.

 

Macri went on to victory after starting in pole position for the feature, formare Outlaw full-timer Brock Zearfoss was second and Ryan Smith third aboard the Krietz 69K. Chase Dietz was hard-charger at +7, finishing 7th.

 

In the April 4th makeup feature Macri came home in front of Danny Dietrich and Chase Dietz. Macri now leads Williams Grove 410 Sprint Car points by 90 over Zearfoss with Dietrich a further 30 markers back.

 

410 Sprint Cars return to Williams Grove this Friday night April 25th, joined by 358 Sprint Cars.
